With a twist of the ring on his finger, Cassius shrunk down to a very small size and approached Thumbelina's door. Raising a hand, he gently knocked and took a step back. He was rather excited for today as Thumbelina had said she would show him how to cook some minor dishes since he was interested.

"Come in!" Was shouted from inside the house as Thumbelina made her way towards the staircase and began making her way down.

Cassius opened the door and went inside, hanging his coat on the rack as he passed through the hall. "Hello, M'dear~" He called out and met her at the bottom of the stairs. "How is your day so far?" He asked.

Thumbelina smiled widely when she saw him at the bottom of the stairs, hurrying her steps to reach him. When she did, she softly took one of his hands in each of hers. "Not much at all.. I made sure the kitchen was clean.. brought up some supplies.. then I read for a few hours." She laughed lightly shaking her head. ".. The house seems... rather quiet and boring when you're not home."

Cassius's smile grew wider and he leaned in to kiss her cheek. "Was the book a good read?". He squeezed her hands and laughed lightly. "I'm terribly sorry I've made it a bore without me around~".

Thumbelina smiled more and moved to catch his lips with her own. ".. Good enough I suppose, I was simply reviewing the uses of plants I am less familiar with... And you're here now so that's all that matters to me."

Cassius kissed back. "Yes, I am here now and I'm much happier to be~".

Thumbelina grinned widely, it made her feel so special when he said things like that. She leaned in closer and kissed him again but longer and more deeply. After a bit she reluctantly pulled herself away. ".. Sorry.. I'm just.. so happy you're here.. but you wanted to cook.. I shouldn't keep you in the entryway..." Smiling again, she took his hand and started leading him back upstairs. "Oh... You know.. you don't have to knock.. you are always welcome here.".

Cassius smiled as she led him up, still in a bit of a daze from the deep kiss. "Terribly sorry... It's a habit~" He responded.

"Don't be sorry... I just want you to feel comfortable using this space freely... think of it like a second home you can visit whenever you like." Thumbelina reached the top of the stairs and smiled over at Cassius.

He blushed lightly and smiled softly. "Thank you, M'dear... the same goes for you as well...". He said quietly and scratched the back of his head, trying not to seem so shy.

"I'm glad, I will stop by more often then." Thumbelina moved in front of him and leaned up on her toes, brushing her nose against his and hovering just far enough away to not yet kiss.

Cassius's face was still very red and turned a bit redder when Thumbelina hovered in front of him. Grinning he leaned forward and kissed her nose before chuckling.

At first Thumbelina was a bit surprised when he kissed her nose, then mildly disappointed that was it as let her heals fall back to the ground. Dismissing her thoughts she forced a smile on. "Shall we start then?" She turned and started walking towards the kitchen.

Cassius blinked and noticed her slight disappointed look. Nodding he let her lead the way to the kitchen but before she entered it he said. "But, real quick for luck, M'dear~" and then spun her around and kissed her deeply. Ending the kiss he stepped into the kitchen, leaned on a counter and grinned at her.

Thumbelina blinked with surprise at the sudden kiss, but quickly melted into it. She found her legs to be less stable than she remembered when he ended the kiss. Her face was a bright shade of red as she leaned against the frame of the archway and she smiled back over at him. Once she stopped feeling like her legs were more noodle than bone she made her way into the kitchen and over to him as she rolled up her sleeves. "So do you have any preferences on what we cook?"

Cassius shook his head. "No, I do not~ I'm willing to learn anything~" He said with a small grin and rolled his sleeves up as well.

"Well... Hmm.." Thumbelina went over to the fire below the oven and fed it. "I had assumed you would want something with meat... and stews are really easy.." She paused in thought for a moment. "How late will you be here? We could also make desert if there is time..."

Cassius leaned back against the counter and watched her start up the oven. "Hmmm, I was thinking of staying until tomorrow... If that's alright.".

Thumbelina smiled back at him as she stood back up. "Of course you can .. That's my second favorite amount of time for you to stay over." She then walked over to the cabinets and started pulling down the pots and bowls she wanted.

Cassius followed her. "Oh? What's your first favorite amount of time?" He asked curiously.

Thumbelina turned around, handing him the pot for the stew she smile smiled and spoke again. "Everyday of course."

Cassius grinned and took the pot. "Oh, that's my favorite time as well~".

"I'm glad you enjoy my company that much." Thumbelina quickly kissed his nose before going to retrieve a cutting board. "Could you take a knife out?"

Cassius hummed in response and went through several drawers before finding a knife. Going over to Thumbelina, he held it hilt out for her to take.

Thumbelina seemed surprised as she placed down the cutting board and took the knife. "Oh, I'm sorry, I thought you knew where I kept them... So first step is prep.. cutting everything to a smaller size for cooking.. but you cook sometimes so you probably already know most of this step.." She laughed a bit awkwardly, pulled over the meat and vegetables then started cutting them into small pieces roughly the same size.

Cassius chuckled. "I do, it's just going to take some time getting used to your kitchen~" He watched her work and nodded. "Yes, cutting I can do... thankfully.".

"Sorry." Thumbelina smiled sheepishly before looking back to the things she had been cutting, then back to Cassius. "Would you like to finish cutting then I could get the water for the pot.. or you could if you'd rather..." She motions to the faucet in case he wanted to do that one.

Cassius looked at the pot and then the knife. "Hmmmm... since you've already begun on that... I'll get the water~" He responded and begun to fill the pot up.

"Alright, only about halfway." Thumbelina returned to cutting things humming softly to herself. When she finished she looked over to see how it was filling.

Cassius turned the tap off when the pot was filled half way. Tilting it slightly towards Thumbelina, he asked. "This enough?".

"Yes that seems right. Put it on the counter and toss the meat and vegetables in.." Thumbelina turned around and started pulling down some different seasonings. with her hands full of seasonings she returned to where Cassius was. There was a short pause and she spoke again. "... I've been thinking of going back to my maiden name.. what do you think?"

Cassius put the pot down on the counter and went over the different seasonings. Looking up at Thumbelina. "If that is what you wish M'dear~" He said and glancing over slightly, he added more quietly. "Though, if you also wished it... you could use my last name...".

She hadn't expected him to say the last part, and she froze briefly as she regained her thoughts. "Do.. Do you wish for that?" She spoke quietly and moved closer to him.

Cassius turned and looked her in the eyes. "I do, but only if you wish for it as well~ I do not want you to... feel as though you must or need too.". Blushing lightly he scratched his nose and said "I want you to be happy, so whatever does bring you joy... even if it's a small gesture, is yours to take.".

She could feel her cheeks growing warm again as she tried processing everything. "I think.. I would like... very much to share a name with you.. like a family.. but.. at the same time.. I think people would mistake that for marriage.. and that... I'm so scared of marriage... it was never a positive experience for me.." One of her arms crossed her body as the hand on it rubbed her other arm as she thought heavily about the fears in her own mind.

Stepping forward, Cassius wrapped his arms around her. "Yes, I believe it would cause many to think we're married...". Pausing he looked down at her and said. "I wouldn't have any objection to that but I don't wish for you to feel any distress or ill feelings about it.". Kissing her cheek lightly he finished "Do what you want , M'dear~ I will support any decision.".

Thumbelina could feel her eyes starting to water and she wrapped her arms around him tightly as she buried her face in his chest. "... I-I just... I don't know... I'm so scared.. I care for you so much... I'm so scared that... What if.. things.. changed? I just... I am so scared that you will find.. something better.. or you'll change into a different person... But... I really want to.. be with you always.. and make you happy... but my only experience with marriage is that it is the opposite of that.. I'm just.. scared..." Her tears started to leak through his shirt but she held to her position keeping her face buried.

Cassius squeezed her tighter and ran a hand through his hair. "I'm frightened too...." He murmured. "I know that I would never leave you... if that quells some of the fear..." He said quietly.

Thumbelina shifted slightly so she could look up at him with her mildly red damp eyes. She looked up at him quietly for a moment before speaking. ".. But.." She sniffled lightly. ".. What's so special about me?"

Cassius brushed some loose strands of her hair behind her ears and smiled softly. "Everything, M'dear. Your smile, how you walk, how you talk... your eyes, your hair, how you can be so sweet and protective of everyone, how you always look out for others... everything about you is special and to be cherished...".

Thumbelina blushed quietly as she processed what he was saying. ".. You really are the kindest person..." She loosened one of her arms and held the hand he had moved her hair with. Closing her eyes she continued. ".. Sometimes.. when I am in bed next to you.. in the dark when I wake up and you are still asleep.. I wonder.. if this is what the true love they talk about in stories is like... I just.. don't know how I am deserving of that.. But I want it.. I'm just.. scared..." She opened her eyes slowly and looked up at him again. ".. Scared that.. my past will repeat itself.. In the past.. whenever I was truly happy.. it would lead to great suffering...."

Cassius stared down at her in silence. "If this is what the stories mean true love is... I don't want it to ever end.". Running a thumb along her cheek, Cassius smiled. "I could never love another, M'dear. You are the only one for me.".

Thumbelina could feel the color in her cheeks rising as she stared at him breathlessly. "How... are you.. so sure..?"

Cassius tilted his head, thinking it over. "I'm not... sure. I just know, down to my core... you are all for me and all I'll ever need.".

Thumbelina caressed his cheek with her free hand, the other still wrapped around his waist as a warm smile formed past tear stained cheeks. "I.. am quite sure I feel the same..." She seemed thoughtful and tilted her head slightly. "... Have.. you ever heard of.. handfasting?"

Cassius grinned when she said she felt the same. "No, M'dear... I'm not familiar with this... handfasting?".

Thumbelina bit her lip slightly before she continued. "I see.. It's.. Well.. from what my mother had told me before.. it's like.. a trial marriage.. from the society she had grown up in.. where a couple would agree to be informally married for a year and a day.. and if they choose to after that period they can either part ways... or formalize the marriage.. I think.. I might be okay with that.. perhaps.." She seemed to be thinking heavily and her brows furrowed as she tried to explain past her own reservations. "I suppose... it would be similar to what the people here call an engagement period..."

He listened to her explanation and nodded. "That does sound like an engagement period.... hmmm, would you like to do this handfasting?" Cassius asked.

Thumbelina seemed to be thinking heavily before looking up and watching his expression as she spoke. "I think I would.. be okay with it.. if you wished to do so..."

Cassius went quiet for a few moments and nodded. "Then... what do we do to make our handfasting official?" He asked with a small, shy smile.

Thumbelina couldn't help but smile softly in response to his, though she still seemed to have a lightly worried and thoughtful air to her. She couldn't help but feel a slight apprehension over moving towards the sort of relationship she was so fearful of... but the ability for it to be broken off as well as her strong desire to make Cassius happy pushed her towards facing her fear. "... It's not.. really an official ceremony.. it would be more private and personal... I think I have a book somewhere with things people say at them in it.." She smiled a bit awkwardly. ".. I have never.. actually been to one myself.. but my mother had said she'd done such with her late husband... that's why I know of it..." She wiped her eyes of any residual moisture. "... I suppose.. we could.. look at that while the stew is on the fire...?" She looked back at the food they had started with an apologetic smile.

Cassius nodded. "Yes... we could look for the book while that is happening...".  Pausing he looked down at Thumbelina. "M'dear... I want you to be sure that you want to do this. Don't push yourself just to make me happy if it bothers you, okay?" He said.

Thumbelina blinked and looked up at him, surprised her emotions were so easily read. "It's.. Not that I don't want to.. I'm just scared... But... I think.. if it's you.. it'll be okay.."

Cassius smiled and kissed her softly. "I'm glad that you are willing to do something like this with me, even though you're scared... I must admit. I'm scared too.".

Thumbelina stayed close to him as she whispered against his lips. ".. What scares you my love..?"

Cassius whispered back just as softly. "You being scared is what frightens me. I'm afraid I'll do something wrong or say something that will cause you to fear me, or fear that I'll become what has hurt you in the past.".

Thumbelina was at a loss for what she could say of comfort to him. She hoped her feelings were better expressed by actions than words as she leaned forward and held him close as she pressed her lips to his in a long passionate kiss.

Cassius kissed her back. When the kiss ended, he said rather breathlessly "I think the stew is overflowing, M'dear...".

".. Is it now.." Thumbelina seemed less than concerned and was leaning in for another kiss when what he was saying as well as the sizzling sound gained her attention and she spun around with a mild panic. "OH DEAR!" She picked up her skirt with one hand and ran over to the pot to remove it from the fire.

Cassius muffled his laughter behind his hand and followed her over to the pot. "Anything I can do to assist?" He asked.

Taking a heat pad she placed the pot on the counter and stirred it. "No.. I think it's fine.. pretty much done.. I think the residual heat will finish cooking it..." Thumbelina looked back at Cassius. "What would you like to do now?"

Cassius leaned forward and inhaled the scent of the stew and made a noise of approval. Looking over at Thumbelina, he grinned. "I believe we have a book to be looking for?".

Thumbelina nodded slightly as her color grew again. "I know where it is in the bookcases..." She took one of his hands, walked over to her reading nook, pulled an unlabeled book down and, handed it to him carefully.

Cassius handled the book gently, running his fingers along the edge of it's binding. Glancing over at Thumbelina, he opened it slowly as not to damage the pages.

The book appeared to be handmade, probably a replica of one she had read before. Her penmanship had a swirly almost whimsical nature to it. Inside the book spoke about different old pagan customs from the area where she had been raised, and therefor had a section on marriage and handfasting. It talked about vows that were quite different than the traditional ones they even seemed to have a bit of a humorous and honest feeling to them without the sort of vows that took ownership of another. But essentially broke down into promises of the commitment being bound into ribbons draped over the couples hands and knotted together at the end of the ceremony to symbolize two being joined. Thumbelina watched quietly from his side, glancing at his face from time to time as he read.

Cassius was quiet for awhile as he read, going over certain sentences twice before moving on. With a small nod to himself, he gently closed the book and looked over at Thumbelina. "I believe I understand handfasting now~".

Thumbelina watched him curiously. "... And you like the idea of it?"

Cassius smiled. "Yes I do.". He carefully handed the book back to her.

Thumbelina carefully took the book and returned it to the shelf. "... When would you... like to do so?" She asked as she turned back to him with a soft smile.

Cassius mulled over what would be a good time. "Hmmmmm... I don't think we should rush towards it, so maybe in a couple of months?". Looking over at her he added "Unless you have a time?"

Thumbelina seemed a bit surprised, her past marriage had been very quickly set. "Oh, um.. I am alright with whenever you wish."

Cassius smiled softly. "Well then, we'll set it up for to happen in two months from today?".

"Alright." A thought hit Thumbelina. "Ah! It'll be spring then! Can we We have it in the garden at sunset?" She smiled, excited about the prospect of spring, as well as slightly eased by the fact it would not be as soon as she had thought it would be.

Cassius grinned and nodded. "Yes! The Garden would be lovely and have a nice view of the sunset~".

Thumbelina smiled in response to his and leaned up to kiss him. "Would you like to make some lemon cake now?"

He grinned and nodded. "Yes, that sounds nice!"

She smiled back and kissed him softly. "... Thank you... for.. being so tolerant of.. my issues."

He kissed her back and stood up. "Of course, M'dear~ They do not bother me in the least.".

"I'm so grateful.." Thumbelina backed up, taking one of his hands while she did. ".. I can't think of what I'd do without you here." She smiles warmly and leads him back to the kitchen.

Cassius squeezes her hand lightly and follows her quietly to the kitchen.

"Is something on your mind darling?" Thumbelina looked over at him as she started pulling down the supplies for the lemon cake.

"Hmmm? Oh no, M'dear. I'm just content and enjoying being in your presence." He said with a small smile and helped her with the supplies.

Thumbelina blushed lightly and smiled as she started measuring out ingredients.

Cassius watched her measure them out. "Anything I should be doing? How do you know which ingredients you need?" He asked curiously.

"Practice I suppose.. Sorry I just.. sort of measure by sight... I guess that wouldn't help you learn very much.." Thumbelina paused and after thinking she handed the flour she had been pouring to Cassius, stepped to the side and taking the hand and guiding it to pour the amount she wanted."I suppose if you wanted I could write down some of the recipes I make if you'd like."

"Ah, I usually have to rely on cook books when I cook~" He said and watched the flour pour out. "Have you ever measured wrong?" He asked glancing over at her. "And yes, I would like your recipes... if that's alright~".

"When I was young I found it harder, but I had lots of practice in the time since..." Thumbelina went quiet as started guiding his hands to add the other dry ingredients to the bowl.

He hummed in response and let her continue to guide him. "Did you learn from your mother?" He asked softly, hoping that was an alright question.

Thumbelina smiled softly at the thought of her mother. "A bit.. She had taught me many of my basic skills.. though I didn't really cook much for myself before my marriage.. I was so small it was easy for mother to just feed me from what she had made.. but I was always insistent on helping.. When I was a child I believed I could do anything with enough will.." She laughed lightly as she took the bowl of dry ingredients and held it above the wet one she had already mixed. Careful to not spill it as she handed Cassius a spoon. "Can you stir while I shake the dry in?"

He listened to her and smiled at how she seemed so happy when talking about her mother. "I believe that your younger self may have been onto something with that philosophy...". He began to stir as she asked.

Thumbelina laughed and shook her head as she lightly shook the dry in. "I think it's the only reason I am so strong in this size... I would always push myself to try and do as many human things as I possibly could..." She smiled lightly at Cassius. ".. So you think I can do anything huh?"

He continued stirring and grinned. "Of course~ After all, I fell in love with you.". He glanced at her and elaborated. "I never thought I would actually feel strongly for anyone, but you did the impossible~".

Thumbelina watched him curiously. "You never had feelings like that ever before we met?"

Cassius paused in his stirring, not responding for a moment. "I... did... but that was a long time ago, and it... it was a fool's infatuation...".

Thumbelina's expression turned to one of concern and she placed the bowl down and hugged him from the side. "I'm sorry to have brought up a painful memory."

He wrapped an arm around her waist and hugged her back lightly. "It's fine... it's not really painful... more of a disappointment at how foolish I was.".

"Well.. I don't see you as foolish.." She rested her head on him. ".. I just think.. you're a lot  like me.. in that.. we both just wish to love and be loved.. more than we would care to admit...."

Cassius sighed in content and pulled her closer. "I suppose... yes, you're right.".

Thumbelina looked up at him with a soft smile. "Thank you... for just.. being the way you are.. I think you're perfect.. And I love you." Using her toes to push herself up, she kissed him with a gentle kiss that lingered more than usual.

Cassius smiled against her lips and chuckled softly. "Thank you for being you, M'dear~ As you are wonderful and amazing and I couldn't ask or want for anyone more or less.".

Thumbelina smiled back as she looked up at him.. then a thought hit her with a bit of concern. "I had forgotten.. I think.. I need to tell you something... I don't think it would be.. right to take any sort of vows with you without telling you that... I don't.. care for sex..." She was a bit worried and watched for his reaction.

Cassius stared at her for several moments in silence and then laughed. "That is perfectly, haha, acceptable, heh, M'dear~". Leaning against the counter they were in front of, he waved his hand between them. "I was always less sexually inclined than my brothers and sisters... and as it stands I'm not interested in sex unless it's wanted by the other." He finished.

Thumbelina felt an overwhelming sense of relief. She had noticed he never pushed the matter.. but knowing that her feelings on the matter were so irrelevant of a problem that he found it laughable was very reassuring. She smiled widely as she jumped onto him, wrapped her arms over his shoulders and kissed him again with a strong passion.

Cassius quickly put his arms around her for support when she jumped onto him. He grinned and laughed happily. "I see that is a good thing!" He said once the kiss ended.

"Yes! I have been told it is a thing that is expected from relationships.. I'm just.. so relieved that.. my.. dislike of that.. isn't something that would drive you away." Thumbelina snuggled her face into his chest with a giggle. "I'm just.. so happy."

Cassius nodded. "Yes, I've noticed that it seems to be a requirement in almost all relationships...". He ran a hand through her hair. "It's another reason that kept me away from closer relationships with others as most would want that, and I would give to them if they asked but it's just a physical relief. It provides nothing for me emotionally and mentally.".

"Oh... well.. I had read about it once.. and.. I think my body is broken.." Thumbelina shrugged. "I don't.. get.. aroused.. it was never a pleasant experience...." She looked up into his eyes with a smile. "But I am enough emotionally and mentally for you?"

Cassius nodded. "I can understand that, M'dear..." He paused and leaned down to kiss her lightly. "Yes, you are more than enough for me~".

Thumbelina held herself close to him as she returned the kiss. Slowly she parted from him whispering softly in his ear. "... The cake still needs to go in the oven.. we got distracted again~.."

Cassius dropped his head down onto her shoulder and grinned against her neck. "It appears as though we have...". Letting go ahead of her, he said "Shall we get to it then?".

"Yes." Thumbelina grinned and turned on her toes  and started scraping the batter into a buttered pan before handing it to Cassius. "Can you put this in the oven?"

Cassius took the pan and went over to the oven, carefully placing the pan down. "What next?" He asked.

"Close the door and wait..." Thumbelina smiled and followed after him. "We'll have a bit of time.. we could.. try the stew while if cooks.. or do something else if you'd rather.." She wasn't sure if he was hungry or not.

Cassius turned to Thumbelina after he closed the door. "Mmm, yes I am quite famished~".

The word choice made her a bit concerned, Thumbelina wondered how long he had been hungry and just not said anything. She quickly pulled down bowls, filled one and handed it to him. "I'm sorry you waited so long then.. I wish I had known."

Shaking his head, Cassius said. "Oh it's fine... will we be eating in the dining room or in here?" He tilted his head.

"We can eat wherever you want." Thumbelina smiled brightly. "It will be quite a while before the cake is done." She filled her own bowl and pulled out spoons for them to eat with.

After Thumbelina filled his bowl, Cassius did the same. "Hmmm... dining room it is then~". He smiled and led the way, remembering where the dining room was.

Thumbelina followed behind him, still rather giddy.. She felt like many of her worries were easing and she thought the relationship was closer.. and a bit less scary than it had been. She sat down in the seat he had chosen for her when they had last eaten alone in the dining room.

Once Thumbelina had sat down, Cassius took a seat opposite of her. He felt very content and at ease, feeling as though they have moved past a hurdle in their relationship and had grown closer. With a small smile, he dipped the spoon into the stew and brought it up to his lips. Lightly blowing on it, he took a sip and made a noise of approval.

Thumbelina giggled lightly at his noise and smiled fondly as she also made to try the stew. "I'm so glad it only boiled over and didn't burn." She sighed with relief and ate more. "Oh wait.." She got up and took a basket of buns from a table to the side of the room and placed them in the center of they dining table. The buns were of course cold, but still fresh from the morning. She sat back down and took a bun.

Cassius nodded. "Yes, it would have been a shame for it to go to waste~". He took a bun and dipped it into the stew.

Thumbelina did the same, dipping her bun into the soup. “Yes.. I thought it'd be nice to have some bread with it.. but I had almost forgotten.” She laughed lightly and finished the rest of her stew in relative quiet. It was nice.. She didn't really feel she needed to say anything.. it was just.. nice existing in the same space. Gathering her dishes she stood up. “I think the cake might be just about done.”

Cassius finished the last bit of his stew off with the bun and gathered his dishes as well. "It was a lovely addition to the stew~" He said with a sigh of content. "Let's check on the cake then.." He said as he passed her back towards the kitchen.

Following behind him Thumbelina reached around to take his dishes. "Here, I'll clean the dishes and you can take the cake out." She smiled softly."

"Are you sure? I can do the cleaning if you wish..." He said.

Thumbelina shrugged and continued to smile. "It doesn't bother me but if you'd rather clean I can get the cake out."

Cassius went over to the sink and made a shooing motion. "Alright then, you get the cake and I'll clean this up~". He grinned and set to work, using all four hands to start moving through the dishes quickly.

Thumbelina laughed as he took her dishes, shaking her head lightly with a smile as she picked up a hot pad. Opening the oven she could see the cake was done, so she pulled it out and flipped it over onto a plate. She glanced back at Cassius, it was nice.. how much he wanted to help. Shaking off the undoubtedly dreamy stare she'd been giving him, she pulled out a knife and started cutting the cake.

Cassius was busy with the dishes and didn't notice Thumbelina's dazed stare in his direction. Drying his hands on a nearby dish towel, Cassius turned to Thumbelina and smiled. "All done~" He gestured at the now clean dishes. Walking over to her, he leaned down to look at the cake. "It looks delicious..." He said.

Thumbelina smiled and picked up a piece with fingers and held it up for him. "Let me know if it tastes as good as it smells~" She seemed to have a smile stuck on her face, she just kept grinning like an idiot around him.

Cassius raised a brow and leaned forward, biting off a chunk of the piece of cake she held out. Leaning back upright, he chewed it thoughtfully. "It tastes wonderful!" He said with a grin.

Thumbelina popped the amount he'd left into her own mouth and nodded in agreement as she handed him a small plate with an actual slice on it. "Would you like to eat in the living room? Then we could.. cuddle..." She picked up her own plate still all full of smiles.

Cassius nodded. "We can get a fire going as well for extra warmth..." He suggested as they made their way there.

"That's a good idea." Thumbelina nodded and placed her plate on the coffee table as she went about getting a fire started.

Cassius fluffed the pillows on the couch and sat down.

Once she had the fire going Thumbelina picked up her plate, sat down, and snuggled up next to Cassius. "This is the best place." She smiled more and started to eat her cake.

Cassius moved a little to get more comfortable and smiled. "Yes, it is a great place..." He said softly referring to being next to Thumbelina. He ate his cake quietly, enjoying being next to Thumbelina. Once he was done, he set the plate aside and wrapped an arm around her.

Thumbelina smiled and blushed lightly at his remark. When her cake was finished she stacked her plate on his and snuggled more into the arms around her. She wrapped her arms around him and rested her head on his chest, listening to his heartbeat. "... It's very soothing..." She mumbled from his chest.

Cassius moved a bit on the couch so Thumbelina was more laying across him than against his side. "Yes... it is.." He said and closed his eyes, running a hand through her hair lightly. "This is indeed the best place to be..."

Thumbelina opened her eyes slightly and looked up at him. "... Would you like to hear mine?"

A small mumble sounded from Cassius as he started to drift off. "Mmm... can hear it... from here..." He said softly.

".... Oh..." Thumbelina allowed her eyes to close after he spoke and gave a light hug before drifting off herself.

Tutorial on How to be Wonderful and adorable

Step one: Be this roleplay.

There is no step two.

Oh my gosh, this is just so wonderful and precious and just... Amazing. There's something so real about it, they don't seem like story or roleplay characters... They seem like real people in a real relationship. Really fantastic job.
