It was a clear day, or as clear as most had been lately. The ground had a thin layer of snow from the early morning and while a chil still hung to the air, none was falling at the moment. The Mayor had swept the small bit of snow from the town square, but the bits that frosted the streamers remained. He thought it made them look magical or some such nonsense. Looking over at his assistant, he shoved an ocarina at the boy. "My son is sick, so you will be covering for him in the performance." It wasn't a question, this is now your job Beau.

Beau had followed the mayor to the town square. He had known the mayor's son was sick, but he really didn't know he had to cover up for him. He looked at the ocarina and then he looked at the mayor. "What?" He asked, feeling slightly confused. 'I guess I could play the ocarina... All for the town I guess...' He thought, staring at the ocarina.

"It's for the health of the town." The mayor nodded once and took in a deep breath of the winter air as he looked over the town square. He was hopeful that some of the shops would set up little booths for the festival... he was also wearing a shirt that said 'ask me about my amazing son'.(edited)

"I see and for the land, right? Getting rid of angry spirits." Beau had done some 'homework' about the town, this was the first time he would attend the festival. "What was your son sick with again?" He suddenly asked. He still hadn't met the boy, well he had seen him but they never talked.

"YES!" The mayor grinned and nodded. "Healthy land, healthy town, healthy people." Hermon thought then shrugged. "He is sick with something, he just wanted to stay home and sleep."

Heading towards the town square, Lusye looks about with a small smile. The day is much clearer than it had been in awhile, though the air was still bitter and cold. Shivering slightly, the  young man pulls his coat tighter around his body before adjusting the strap to the backpack he has haphazardly slung over his shoulder. He hadn't had time to set up a booth, but he did plan to visit as many as he could today; He hadn't been to a festival in years after all! He always loved playing small games and collecting trinkets to decorate his house with.

Once he reached the square, the man notices two figures, one clearly familiar (it's pretty much impossible to mistake the Mayor's hulking frame for someone else's), and one... not as much. To be friendly he gives them a gentle wave, although he's not too sure if they were even looking in his direction.

Beau nodded when he mayor nodded, glad he knew he had done his 'homework' right. "So that also means a good reputation for the town, right? That's good." He said. 'That kid... Maybe he has stage fright... Or he didn't feel like coming... maybe a cold?' He thought, smiling awkwardly. "That's a shame, he has probably practiced a lot, right?" He asked. He raised an eyebrow when he saw Lusye waving. Why were all people he didn't know always waving?(edited)

The Mayor gave a jolly wave to Lusye. "Good to see you again!"

"H-hello!" Lusye calls before jogging over to the Mayor and the mystery man. "It's a pleasure to see you again too, sir." Adjusting his bag's strap once again, he brightly smiles at Beau and holds out his free, gloved hand.

"I don't think we have met yet, my name is Lusye, it... it's a pleasure to meet you!"

Beau blinked when he saw the man jogging closer. Ah, of course he knew the man knew the mayor, after all everyone knows the mayor. He looked at the man's hand and then he shook his hand. "No, we haven't." He said. Normally he would have said something else, but he couldn't be rude because of the mayor. "I'm Beau, nice to meet you as well."

An energetic, blue-haired girl could be seen skipping towards the town square, wearing only a cape to keep her warm. She occasionally looked behind her, making sure her friend Elaine was still keeping up. "C'mon Elaine, we don't wanna be late!" she shouted with a smile. She turned her attention towards the crowd gathering at the square. "Oh, hey Lusye!" she called out to the one face she recognized. "Hey to everyone else, too!" She smiled.

Mickey had set up his booth, certainly it served booze. But to make the people happy who have traumatic experiences with it, he cultivated a non alcoholic cocktail. He hoped people thought it would taste alright. Macey had helped a bit with setting up. She was rocking on her heels besides her brother, hands on her back while she hummed. "So Macey, I think we're all set up." Mickey announced happily. His sister just replied with a smile.

"Yes of course!" Elaine hurried after Prim. She wondered if Cameron and Octavian would be coming. A few of her rose bushes had caught a terrible frost after one of the windows cracked along the frame and she'd spent the last week at home trying to bring them back to proper health. So she'd only talked with her roommate as of late.. as well as trying to read through the collection of books Octavian had given her.

Lusye gives the hand a light, but firm shake, before quickly withdrawing it. "Do you and the mayor kno-oh!" He turns to face the direction of the voice that had called his name. It sounded familiar, and cheerful. His wavering smile returns at full strength once he recognizes who it was that called him. It was the kind woman from the Starry Night festival about a month ago.

"Hello, Prim!" He calls, waving towards her.

Primilla scurried over to Lusye. "Pretty cold out here, innit?" she commented as she warmed her hands with her breath. "So how've you been, buddy?" she asked, and gave him a pat on the back.

"It's freezing for sure!" Lusye replies, laughing lightly-- though he flinches a bit at the touch. "I have been well, recently hired a new assistant at the store, so I'm able to relax a bit more; I'm not constantly rushing to get everything done now that the workload is shared. It is quite nice." He rubs his hands together as he speaks, they're not exactly cold, but moving them about helps him relax a bit. "And, how have you been, if you do not mind me asking?"

Elizabeth made her way towards the town square. She had decided to attend the festival to, hopefully, meet some of the villagers. The last time she attended one of the village's many events, she had barely met anyone. Elizabeth adjusted her hat's position and walked into the town square. She was surprised that many people haven't shown up and wondered when more people would arrive. Elizabeth spotted the mayor talking to some people she hadn't met before and decided that it would be the perfect opportunity to meet people.

"I've been good! Work at the flower shop is going nicely, even though it's not as busy in winter," she giggled. She turned to look at the booth selling drinks. "Ohh, I wonder if they have anything yummy, like a blueberry drink!" She thought for a moment.  "Although, I probably shouldn't have anything alcoholic since I'm gonna be singing later. Oh, yeah, are you gonna be playing any instuments tonight?" She turned back towards Lusye. "Ohh, or maybe you like to sing too?"

Beau was simply standing there, somehow it felt a bit awkward. Around the mayor he couldn't really tease people nor be really sarcastic. "I'll walk around for a bit." He mumbled, walking a bit away from the group that was forming.

Elaine coughed a bit as her hurried steps on short legs up the steps to the townsquare had left her a bit winded.. to which the cold air was of little help. Oh goddess please don't let her get sick.

The mayor smiled and nodded to the children as he excused himself.

Noticing her cough, Primilla became worried. "Oh no, Elaine, are you getting sick? Ohh, I should have brought an extra scarf for you. It's important to keep your neck really warm!" she fretted. "Maybe there's a stall with soup... you should really have some soup, yup."

Lusye's smile wavers as he notices the group growing larger. "Oh um-- farewell..." He murmers to Beau, wishing he could slink away too, but his dedication to being polite and friendly simply wouldn't allow him that. Okay more like he didn't know how to excuse himself without upsetting anyone else but...

"Oh, right the booths. You should check it out-- Just make sure to drink plenty of water if you have something alchoholic." He wasn't the biggest fan of alcohol, since with how thin he was, he could barely handle one, let alone two drinks. But, he is aware that keeping hydrated was importatn when having drinks.

His smile fades upon processing Primilla's question. He'd almost managed to forget for the time being that he had to play an instrument infront of the villagers. "...Y-yeah, I have to play something tonight." He pats the backpack slung over his shoulder and attempts to bring back the smile that vanished, but fails. Ah, what would he give to not have to actually do this. That, or for his nerves to vanish."I... am not a performer in the least though, so hopefully everything goes smoothly... U-uh as for singing though, I do like to but... once again... I'm not much of a performer."

Elizabeth started to walk toward the forming group of people when she noticed a man separate from the group. She looked toward the man curiously before walking toward him. She had never seen him around the village before, and she wondered whether or not he was new to Moondrop. Elizabeth continued to walk toward the man to see if he would notice her walking toward him.

Beau sighed when he was away from the group. At least he could be himself for now. Perhaps he should practice on playing the ocarina, after all he didn't want to fail in front of the whole town. He blinked when he saw a woman walking over to him. He raised an eyebrow for a moment. "Uhm... Hello?" He said, wondering why she walked over to him. "Is there something I can help you with..?"

Elaine let out a small half cough half laugh as she shook her head in an effort to dismiss Prim's worries. "I should be fine, I just have weak lungs." Straightening herself out she noticed Macey at a booth. "I think I am going to get a drink." Excusing herself, she walked towards the booth with a wave. She made a consious effort not to walk near Beau.

Macey lifted her arm and waved back to Elaine, upon noticing Mickey followed suit. Both were wearing a pleasant smile, happy to welcome the pudgy friendly lady.

"Well, if you're sure," Prim let Elaine walk off, and returned her focus to Lusye. "Yeah, I don't drink much myself, but if something has blueberries in it, I can't pass it up!" she almost started to drool at merely the thought of blueberries. " Oh, and we get to perform together then! I haven't seen you perform before or anything of course, but I just have a feeling that you'll do really well. So this'll be really fun!" she began to jump up and down. Her way of showing excitement was also a good way to warm up, so she continued for a little longer than she normally would have.

Elizabeth looked up at the man with her brown eyes and studied his face for a moment. She didn't recognize his face in the slightest which made her think that he was new in town. "Hello...I don't believe we have met before, my name is Elizabeth." Elizabeth said, finding as much courage as she could to speak. She waited to ask if he was new to Moondrop, just in case she recognized his name.

"Ah, so you're one of the people I'm performing with?" Lusye seems to relax, his shoulders slumping as if some sort of great weight had been taken off of him. "I'm so glad, you're so cheerful and nice.... A-ah and it's just nice to know who we're performing with in general. You wouldn't happen to know who the others are, would you?"

Beau looked at the woman and also studied her. She was defitely different from most girls he had met in the past. "No, we haven't met before." He said and then he smiled. "Well, it's nice to meet you Elizabeth. I'm Beau." He could tell she was finding the courage to speak so he wouldn't immediately tease her. He would feel guilty if he made the woman too scared to speak again. "Do you like festivals?"(edited)

"Mm, nope, I'm not sure. But I bet they're really cool, too!" she smiled as she looked around. "I did notice that the guy who was by the mayor a while ago was holding an ocarina, though. So either he's gonna be performing with us, or he just really likes to play!"

Elaine stopped in front of the booth with a smile. "I do hope you liked the wine I sent back with your sister for you." Elaine spoke to Mickey first.

"Yes, much thanks for that, Elaine." Mickey smiled friendly "Can I get you anything?" Macey greeted politely.

"Mmm I really wish we had been told who all were going to be performing with us. When I asked all I was told was "I'd know them when I saw them" pretty much." Lusye sighs and crosses his arms. "It is... a bit frustrating. To say the least.. .. Oh, that man was Beau-- or at least that's the name I was told. I didn't notice he had an instrument though... Maybe he will be performing with us, though an ocarina's a pretty portable instrument, he might've just had it-- o-oh I'm just repeating what you said pretty much. I apologize." The young man lightly blushes and nervously laughs. "Yeah, I agree, it's definitely one of those two options."

Elizabeth looked down for a moment and then back up at Beau's face. She never really thought about that question because she never attended festivals unless she new someone who was going or she was curious. "Well...They can be fun...sometimes..." Elizabeth answered, looking down at her feet again. She felt nervous and her palms became sweaty as she continued to stand there thinking about what the man might say.

"Do you have any sparkling wine?" Elaine tilted her head to the side softly in thought. "Pink, preferably."

"Certainly, it's a classic, so I'd bring that." He reached down and uncorked it before taking a plastic cup and filling it. "Sorry for the plastic cup, I just don't want to risk breaking glasses."

Beau tilted his head a bit when Elizabeth looked down for a moment. "Take your time, I have to be here anyways." He chuckled, winking a bit. He nodded a bit and then he sighed. "I guess that's right, still it's pretty troublesome to organize festivals..." He said, frowning a bit. "The snow is making it quite harder." He said and then he shrugged. "Ah well, I just have to endure the snow."

"Mm, Beau, huh? I haven't met him yet. I'd go say hi, but he seems to be kinda busy." Prim was being surprisingly... considerate, tonight. Perhaps it was due to her slight nervousness at having to perform later. Even Prim got nervous sometimes, after all! "I wasn't told who I'd be performing with, just to 'find the Harvest King', I think? I'm not sure, cause those fairies I had a dream about left pretty quickly after all!" she laughed. "Or wait. Now that I think about it, maybe that wasn't a dream."

Lusye's eye twitches a bit at the "'harvest king' comment. Ah that's such an  embarassing title... "Aha, yeah, it was far too real to just be a dream. I'd... thought the mermaid I saw earlier was either just a really dedicated cosplayer, or a shared fever dream but... Well I guess magical creatures are real." He shrugs a bit. "Maybe one day I'll get to meet an elf, at this rate."

"It's quite alright." Elaine took the cup and sipped it slowly. "Have you been well Macey? I'm sorry I haven't been out much last week or I would have stopped by to say hello."

"I've been fine." Macey smiled cheerfully "Just a bit bored, so I gave the animals a bit more attention than otherwise."

Elizabeth looked up at him and a small smile spread across her lips. She hadn't met many people who didn't like the snow even if it interfered with their work and that made her want to smile. She didn't feel as nervous now but she did feel it in the back of her mind. "Do you help...organize the festivals?" Elizabeth asked.

"Ooh, yeah the mermaid! I like her.  But meeting an elf would be super fun, too! I hope I get to see those fairies, er, Harvest Sprites again too. They were adorable, yup!"

"They were pretty cool. I wouldn't mind seeing the mermaid, or the rest of the Sprites; I'd only met one of them." Lusye shifts a bit where he stands. The frigid air is starting to get to him, even with his coat. "Want to um, walk around and look at the booths? I could use a drink, myself..."

"Oh so you work with animals?" Elaine smiled softly. "I was not aware."

Beau sighed with a grin. "You probably think it's weird not to like snow. Don't ask me why I don't." He mumbled and then he nodded. "A bit, I mean I need to help, being the mayor's assistant and all." He said with a shrug.  "I still have to practice the ocarina... I'm covering for the mayor's son.." He mumbled.
Cathy had ran from the inn to the town square, feeling like she was late. She blinked a bit when she looked around. “I guess I’m not late after all.”

"Yeah, I work on the sheep ranch only recently and we also have a dog and cat at the house, so." Macey smiled.

"Sure! I hope they have blueberry flavored stuff~" she said happily, as she started heading towards the booth selling the drinks.

"I hope they have something hot, to be honest." Lusye laughs and follows Prim. "I'm freezing to death out here, I swear!"

"Oh sheep! how precious." Elaine waved to Prim and the male that appeared to be Prim's friend.

"I know, right? The worst part about the cold is that there aren't as many birds around. It's boring not being able to see them!" she pouted. "Hey again, Elaine! And Elaine's friend. Nice to meet you, I'm Prim! Well, Primilla, but you can call me Prim!" she smiled. "So ,what do you guys recommend for drinks?"

Macey smiled shyly, flushing. Mickey smiled to the new customers. "Well, since it's cold, strong alcohol might just be the thing to warm you up." he smirked.

"There'll be plenty of birds once the springtime finally comes, though." Lusye smiles, and waves towards Elaine. "H-hello!" He calls, shifting a bit so he's slightly obscured by Prim.

"I'm not sure if we've met yet, I-it's a pleasure to meet you... all. I'm Lusye." The man's pretty sure he'd met Mickey at some point, but with how nervous he is right now (both the performance and the fact the group has doubled in size at this point, why had he decided to pick the busiest booth?!) he can't remember, so a blanket introduction was the best idea.

Elizabeth nodded. She didn't realize that the mayor's son wasn't at the festival until Beau mentioned it. "Would you mind playing it for me? I always like to hear instruments like the ocarina." It was true that she liked to instruments similar to the ocarina and she always wanted the opportunity to hear it live.

Macey remembered she had been rude for not introducing herself. But Mickey was on that. "Maybe we have." he smiled joyfully "I am Mickey Coleman and this is my sister, Macey."

"T-that name sounds familiar... Well, it's a pleasure to meet you both for sure." Lusye muses, before quickly changing the subject. "W-would you happen to have something non-alcoholic? Or, just with the lowest alcohol content, really..."

"I have a non alcoholic cocktail if you'd rather." Mickey smiled friendly.

Beau blinked a bit when she asked him to play for her. He smirked slightly and then he nodded. "I guess I could, though it has been quite a while since I've played something similar..." He mumbled with a shrug. "It looks like I'm playing a serenade for you." He said with a chuckle, before he started to play a bit.
Cathy looked around with a smile and then she sighed softly. “I could go over to the booth over there or walk over to the small group…” She said softly to herself.

"Please, or if you have any hot drinks, one of those. I can't handle alcohol that well." The thin man replies, returning the smile.(edited)

"Hmm, I'll take one of the non-alcoholic drinks, please!" Prim said. She didn't wanna get too tipsy and end up slurring her song later on.

"Alright." Mickey said in a sing-song way "The drinks are coming up. Sadly, I don't have anything warm." He filled two cups with the liquid and handed them to the customers. "I hope you like a rather sweet taste."

"Thanks a bunch!" Prim began to chug the drink. "Mm, delicious!"

"Is it?" Mickey smiled hopefully "I am so very glad."

"Ah, thank you very much." Lusye takes the drink and takes a few sips of it, grimacing a bit. Yup, that certainly is sweet. "It is pretty good, too sweet for me, but I will not deny that it's well made."

"Thank you." Mickey smiled "I do know sweet isn't really for everyone. But I am glad you're so nice about it."

Elizabeth's smile grew wider as she heard the soft tunes come from the ocarina. She had to admit that he was pretty good at playing the ocarina. Elizabeth listened quietly to the ocarina and waited for Beau to finish.

"I'm more of a savoury, or sour person, myself, but the drink is highly appreciated." Lusye takes another drink and smiles. "Did you mix this yourself?"

"Yes, I did." Mickey smiled "I am sure I could mix things for you at the bar. But I didn't bring much with me."

Beau could tell that Elizabeth seemed to enjoy the sound of the ocarina. It kind of made him less nervous to mess things up during the performance. He smirked when he finished. "Well? What do yo think?" He asked. "I'm not an expert, but it wasn't bad, right?"

"I'll have to stop by the bar more often then." The young man brightly smiles. "If you can produce a drink of this quality, I'm sure you'll be able to craft something I'd like."

"I am sure I can." Mickey smiled "I like experimenting, so I might be able to get you something with a small percentage of alcohol. Non alcoholic is a lot easier to be sweet."

"Anything  with a low alcohol percentage is prefered, or someone who can shut me up if I have too many drinks." Lusye laughs. "I never shut up once I'm drunk. It's annoying, I'm sure... Oh, how much do I owe you for the drink?"(edited)

Elaine moved over and sat on the half walls around the square, sipping her drink thoughtfully as she watched everyone being jolly.

Mickey chuckled. "I am not fond of drunks, so I kind of see to it no one gets drunk. Well, I try too." he smiled "Oh, you don't have to pay for it. It's experimental and like it's a festival for something. We're here to make the village healthy, so I guess the people deserve a drink."

"I'm not fond of drunks either, so getting drunk is the worst." Lusye chuckles and finishes his drink. "Well, I  decided I was going to check out as many booths as possible today, so I should get going, but I'll gladly stop by the bar soon. T-thank you for the free drink, that is very kind of you."

The young man looks to Prim, to see if she had anywhere she wanted to go, or if she wanted to go off on her own.

"Hey, thanks again for the drink!" Prim said before moving over to Elaine. "So, you enjoying yourself so far?" she asked. "Oh, I wonder when the performance is gonna start!"

"Glad I could bring a smile to your faces. Enjoy the festival." Mickey replied.

Oh, well that answered the question for him.

Lusye looks about for a moment, mumbling a farewell to Mickey, before wandering in a random direction. He would've followed Prim, but since he wasn't invited, he doesn't want to intrude.

Elaine smiled to Prim warmly. "Yes for the most part. Though I am afraid that the music will start and I will find myself without a dancing partner." She gave an awkward laugh and shrugged. In the end she assumed it would be her own fault for not stopping to ask Octavian to come while on her way over. "I look forward to hearing you sing."

"Wahh, thank you! I'm pretty excited about it, but a little nervous, too." she giggled.  "And there's nothing wrong with dancin' by yourself, either. It can be fun! But if I weren't singing, I'd totally dance with you."

"I know you would." Her smile grew as she noticed Prim's friend... Lusye was it? Regardless he'd wandered off. "I hope I didn't make your friend uncomfortable."

Lusye hadn't wandered too far, just a few feet from the stand before stopping to check in his bag. Yup, that instrument was still in there, which means... This is really happening at... some point. In hindsight he should probably be trying to find the other performers since they were going to have to do this eventually. He knows Prim is one at least, but that leaves two more to find. That Beau man was someone that he'd have to check in on eventually... Oh well. They'll show up when they show up. Probably. Hopefully.

"Huh?" She looked around and noticed Lusye was a ways away from the two girls. "Oh, I wonder why he didn't come over here... I guess he's just kinda shy, y'know? But he is really nice, yup!" she smiled.

Beau walked over to the mayor. He wasn't feeling up to play, feeling cold. 'I guess this cold or whatever is contagious... Hopefully the mayor understands...' "Mayor, I don't think I'm able to play. I'm feelings... How do you say that.... Ah, I feel a bit under the weather."

"Ah." The mayor took back the ocarina. "You should go home and sit in the sauna. Clear out your head."

"Lusye." Elaine tried calling after him, though she was terrible at raising her voice. "You know you needn't leave on my account."

Did someone just call his name?
Lusye looks back towards Elaine and Prim, before giving the two of them a smile. "Prim just left, and I didn't know if she wanted me to follow or not so... I didn't. I apologize! I-it wasn't because of you or anything!" He quickly hurries over to the two. Although he's not a fan of groups of... more than a single person, being alone was worse.

"Hey again, Lusye~" Prim welcomed him back.
"Sorry for walking away like that. I figured you'd follow, though." She gave an apologetic smile.

Lusye shakes his head, his smile not wavering one bit. "No, no it'sfine. There was just a slight miscommunication is all! S-sorry I didn't follow..."

"You needn't be sorry, I would just hate for you to be all alone." She smiled warmly. "Prim here is my friend, we live together.. I take it you are friends with her as well?"

"Well, thank  you very much for your consideration, I greatly appreciate it." Lusye rubs his hands together to warm them. "Y-yes, I'm friends with Prim-- or at least I would consider her one, though this is only the second time we've spoken at length."

"Heck yeah, we're friends!" Prim chimed in, patting Lusye on the back once again.

The thin man flinches at the touch once again. Why in the world is he flinching? It's not like the woman is planning to hit him... Ahh he's so stupid sometimes "W-wonderful. I'm honored to be considered your friend!"

Marcia walked into the town square alone and looked around. She was still new, but figured this would be a good way to meet people and learn about her new home. She saw her new employer, and quietly gravitated in his direction, though she didn't call attention to herself.

Elaine waved to the new arrival and took another sip of her bubbly drink.

"Oh, hi hi!" Prim greeted the girl. "I don't think we've met! I'm Primilla, or Prim for short. Nice to meet ya!" she  nearly sang.

Having been noticed Marcia came closer to the group. "Ah, hello," she said with a kind smiled, "I'm Marcia. It's nice to meet you."

Lusye turns to look at who the two women were speaking to. Oh, it's his assistant! "Hello Marcia, how are you doing this evening?"

"Hello, Lusye," Marcia smiled again. "It's nice to see you again. I'm doing well. How are you?"(edited)

"That's wonderful! It's quieted down a bit here, but it's bound to pick up soon.... Oh, and I'm doing very well!" Looking around, Lusye pulls his coat tighter around himself. "I sort of wish this was being held indoors, though. It's freezing out here..."(edited)

"It is a bit chilly," Marcia agreed, looking around. She looked back at Lusye. "So, what's going on? I'm still new to the town..."(edited)

"Spirit festival." Elaine continued to nurse her drink.

"Me and Lusye are gonna perform soon!" Prim explained. "We gotta heal the land, I think, yup."

"Performing?" Marcia asked. "That sounds lovely. What's the Spirit festival?" She was very interested in learning about her new home.

Elli was floating around again. This time she visits the village itself. Oooh what will she find. Elaine's shop was very pretty maybe the other buildings are also pretty, filled with a bunch of flowers and stuff. She noticed one spot of the village that was more brighter...are the good people of moondrop having another festival?? Her eyes sparkled in excitement as she tells her fishbowl to float towards the square......where the peeps are.(edited)

"Y-yeah we have to perform..." Lusye brushes his hair out of his face as he continues to speak. "I'm actually not too sure what the festival is /really/ about, though. I was always too young to understand them when I attended."

The mayor waved to the mermaid as he saw her floating towards the raised square. "Good to see you were able to make it!" Of course he had no idea if she knew it was a festival or not, simply that she was here now."

Elli saw the mayor, oh yes yes. She has met him. She recognize that stache. Mmmhmmm. "Oh hello hello Mister!" Elli greeted him. "Oh yes. I'm glad that I did~" she giggled heartily even though she has no idea what is happening...but the bright lights  did attract her to float here. "So is this like the star festival? So many people!"

Lev whistled as he made his to the festival grounds. He had just did his basic fishing for the day and then a long soak to get rid of the fishy smell. He didn't need people giving him looks! He squinted when he spotted a small crowd of unfamiliar faces, well that made sense since he hadn't met anyone yet.

"Essentially." The mayor laughed. "We're still waiting on one of the other players to show up... and my son was supposed to play this ocarina, but he's sick and I haven't found anyone to replace him." He offered it to Elli in case she wished to take and look it over. "The performance is supposed to make the land healthy and help make the gods happy too."

"I'm sure you'll do great," Marcia assured her boss with a smiled.
Raelyn pulled her, somewhat bulky, coat slightly tighter against her. She didn't know why she was being so sneaky, but it was fun, if she could get away with it. A small cluck came from beneath the fabric and she made a shhing noise.
"Quiet, Margo. We're almost there." She made it to the square and let free three chickens. They'd insisted on attending the spirit festival with her. They walked close to her feet as she walked more fully into the commotion of the event like good little babies. Yes, good chickens.(edited)

"Aha, thank you, Marcia. I'm pretty nervous about it but... hopefully everything goes well. If I had the option I would've asked someone more reliable than me to do it." Lusye softly laughs, looking about. The area was filling up with people once again, which while it was technically a good thing... It made his stomach turn. So many people, and he was going to be performing infront of them.

Clearing his throat, he focuses on the task at hand, which was conversing relatively normally with a group of people. "Have you already eaten today? If not I'm sure there's going to be  booth somewhere selling food..."

"I've had a bit to eat, but I would have something if someone were selling..." Marcia looked around briefly. "I don't see anyone, though."(edited)

"Oh, really?" Lusye looks about too and pouts. "Huh, I guess not. That is a shame. I should've brought some snacks from the store or something."

"Would you like me to run back and get anything?" Marcia asked him, totally prepared to run off if necessary.

Lev continued scouting about the area, he wasn't hungry yet so maybe he could mingle? Spotting the particular group, he walked over and gave a casual greeting. "Yo, mind if I hang out with you guys?" He grinned friendly as he scanned each face until staring at.. the mermaid in a floating fish ball. He gaped and blinked a couple of times. Was this a normal thing?!

Lusye laughs lightly, the enthusiasm was nice to see. "No no, it's fine, don't worry about it! I'm not too hungry either, though if there was a booth selling some treats I would so go for it. Festival food is usually really good, at least that's what 8 year old me remembers."

Marcia gave a small laugh. "I'd agree with eight year old you now, and I'm in my twenties," she said as her laughter subsided, "but that would be lovely, maybe one will pop up later."

It was nice to learn that this was a new festival. She was able to attend 2 of them...!! Elli feels so lucky. "Oh! What is this?" The mermaid took the instrument from the mayor and carefully looked over the ocarina. It looks like a sea shell. "A performance to make a land healthy? Oh my! I am pretty sure the gods will be glad." She said as she continues to look at ocarina. A very fascinating thing! She goes to figure how it works.

"Aha~ I don't usually eat out so I only have my younger memories to go off of... But if one does pop up I'm going to be all over it." Lusye chuckles. He doesn't eat much but he'd gladly make an exception for some festival foods. Especially if it were homemade goods. "I know someone was selling drinks earlier but I think they closed the booth down for now..."

Raelyn walked around quietly. No one had noticed her or her chickens. Then again, the three were being quiet at the moment. If one of them sounded it would probably get peoples' attention. She looked down at them, clustered at her feet.
"Oh, maybe it'll open again later," Marcia smiled.

"Yes... would you care to take my son's place? I am sure the gods would be happy to know you loved the town as much as the villagers." Smiling the mayor waved to the new fisherman.

"Hopefully, the drink I had was quite good for sure." Lusye looks about once again, smiling slightly to himself as his eyes fall upon a familiar fishbowl, housing the mermaid from awhile back. He was never much of a believer but... Seeing a magical creature like this... is so amazing.

"I could go and bring some foods back?" Elaine suggested looking to Prim then the other two. "And perhaps some warm tea?"

"Mmm, that'd be great! Thanks, Elaine!" Prim said as her tummy started to rumble. All she'd had to eat today was some toast, after all, and the tea would definitely warm her up.

Lev spotted the mayor waving to him, he at least knew who he was of all people. He gave a small wave back and headed over to him since it seemed everyone else was busy with their own conversations. "Hey Mayor, how does this festival work again..? ... and why is there a mermaid.. in a fish bowl.." He glanced between him and the fish bowl a few times.

"Oh, I would greatly appreciate that,  Elaine." Lusye turns his attention back to the group. "Especially the warm tea, I'm almost an ice cube at this point."

Elli ears perked up and her blue eyes sparkled as the Mayor offered her to play the thing in his son's place. " I can?" oh wow, it is such an honor to perform in a festival, and for the gods too. "Yes~ I do love this town and I'm happy to see it's doing so well." she said, look at this derpy fish girl, now getting all excited. "It will be a great honor for me to perform" she looks back to the ocarina in hand and blinked for a moment. "How- do...you..play?"

"That won't do at all." Elaine gave a nod. I will be back in a short while." picking up the bottom of her cape, Elaine moved out of the square towards her house.

Cluck. There went a chicken, finally not quiet. One cluck and the other two began as well. "Ah." Raelyn pulled some corn out of her coat pocket and dropped it on the ground. "Eat, babies." She said trying not to be disruptive, despite having brought /her chickens./

The mayor laughed at BOTH questions. In response to Lev, he gestured to the mermaid. "This is Elli, she lives here." Then he gave his attention back to Elli and pointed to a hole. "You blow there"

"What. Are those chickens?" Prim asked, turning her attention to the clucking sounds she heard. "How cute!"

They were pecking at the corn on the ground now, three white birdies eating their corn. Raelyn looked up when someone mentioned them. "Oh, yes," she said, "they're mine." She said with a proud momma smile.

"...Chickens?" Lusye questions, looking towards the clucking too. "... Huh those are chickens... Neat." The man smiles, watching them peck at the corn. "You're not worried about them running off or anything?"

"No, they're good, and I keep a good eye on them," Raelyn smiled. "I've taken them out before they know to stay close to me."
Marcia smiled. "We had chickens growing up," she said. "They're very cute." Raelyn smiled and thanked her.

Well as Elli concentrates on the Ocarina like it was some weird thing. Concentrating!! Then her attention diverted from the intsurment to look at the new comer. Elli just giggles at the person's reaction, sometimes she just enjoys their surprised reaction when they see her. But yes anyway, introductions. "Nice to meet you~" she greeted Lev with a heartily giggle of course. Elli is a very happy mermaid. Looking back at the instrument as the mayor pointed out where to blow on it. "Oh this one" She goes to try it- blowing at it gently because...she didn't want to make ugly noises.

Lusye approaches the woman, and the chickens to get a closer look. "That's amazing, they're so well behaved-- at least I remember when I was younger the chickens would always run away from me. "

Lev couldn't get over how casually the mayor introduced her. So this really was a normal thing in this town? "Uh, nice to meet you too." He still couldn't stop staring at the bowl and tail. This was really an incredible sight. "So," he forced himself to look away, "when does this play start? Kind of sad I couldn't get a part in it." He sighed dramatically, he would love to show off his skills in acting! "I could play a cool God." He joked.

"You gotta be real gentle," Raelyn said. "They wanted to come to the festival too, so I brought 'em." as simple as that.

"Oooh. It's not too cold for them?" The black haired man examines the chickens closely. "Like, their feet won't get too cold will they? "

"If it does I can take them home," Raelyn squatted next to the birds. She pat the ground, laying out some more corn.

The gentle blowing made a quiet yet lovely sound come from the ocarina.

The mayor just smiled. "You're a natural." He looked back to lev. "Well there was one other performer that hasn't shown up yet... but it's a music performance."

"I see..." The man watches the woman feed the chickens with a gentle smile. "O-Oh I don't know if we've met yet-- At least not formally. I'm Lusye, the item shop owner. I-it's a pleasure to meet you!"

Raelyn stood up straight again, holding out a hand to shake. "Raelyn. Farmer," she introduced herself.

"Oh, and what was their role?" He perked up. Maybe he could get into this? Even if he wasn't a musician, he had a good singing voice so that was a plus right? He watched the mermaid start to blow into the instrument and hummed a bit. "Not bad." He complimented.

Lusye slowly reaches out and gently shakes the woman's hand. "F-farmer huh? Thank you for all the hard work you do!"

Raelyn let out a small laugh. "No problem, oh, and it's nice to meet you as well," she added.

Elli smiled and she was happy that she didn't sound awful at all. " Thank you~" she said to them. She looked back to the mayor, "Are the other players sick too?" she asked, looking a bit worried.

"Do your chickens have names?" Lusye questions, going back to watching them. He wasn't going to ask, but curiosity got the better of him.

"I don't know who they all all." The mayor rubbed the back of his head. "Like.. I guess they could be? The harvest sprites told Ash he was supposed to perform before he got sick."

"Yes!" Raelyn smiled, happy someone showed interest in her babies. She pointed at each one as she gave names, "there's Arthur, and Margo, and Wesley. They're my little babies."

"Aw, those are such lovely names!" Grinning, Lusye holds out his hand towards the one Raelyn labled as Margo. "I love animals of all sorts. I-I'm sorry if it's bothering you in any way."

"No, no! It's fine!" Raelyn smiled happily. Margo stared at his hand, clucking softly. "She likes you."

Lev rubbed his chin in thought. "Well if it's musical.. and I'm guessing you need a instrument?" He sighed and shrugged. "I never played an instrument before. So can't take anyone's place." He cursed mentally, he could have showed off his moves. Maybe he could pick up some type of instrument later. Something flashy of course like a guitar or drums. "Well good luck, Elli was it? I'm Lev by the way, best fisherman in the town." He winked.

"She does? Aha, I'm honored." He seems absolutely blissful to be interacting with a small creature. "Can I... pet her? Or is that something you can't really do to a chicken?"

"You can. Just be careful, she'll start to sound agitated if she wants you to stop.," Raelyn told him, squatting next to them.

The young man squats down to better reach the chicken before lightly running his hand down its neck and back. "I've never gotten to touch a chicken like this. Closest I ever got was when I used to chase them with some friends when we were little. Of course we never caught any of them, they were always too fast, aha."

"Yeah, they are when they wanna be," Raelyn laughed.

"oh no! I hope they will be alright!" Elli commented with a little frown o n o!! Then her expression became determined, puffing up her cheeks a bit. "I will do my best in my performance!" she huffed, look at this derp. Then she looked at Lev, "Oh! Okay! You're a fisherman I see." she giggles. "You probably sail a lot huh?" she smiles.

"Aha, they were always too fast for my little legs." Lusye stands up and nods to Raelyn. "I-I'd like to stick around for a little bit longer, but I should probably get going, I need to go look for-- this is going to sound silly-- but I have to find the rest of the people who're supposed to be performing with me, and I have no idea who they are... so I probably need to start asking around. I-it has been a pleasure to meet you though, and perhaps we will see one another again soon!"

The man smiles and takes his leave, wandering back towards Prim to let her know he's going to explore a bit. "Hey, Prim, just standing around isn't going to find the rest of the performers-- as much as I wish it would aha. I'm going to go... t-talk to the other people around here and see if maybe one of them are the performers too... D-did you want to come look too? O-oh or maybe we should wait for your friend to get back..."

"Sure, we can ask around! Hopefully we'll get to perform soon, too~" she said excitedly. "And I'm sure we'll run into Elaine when she's done, too; this is a pretty small area after all."

"Ahh, not really." He sighed. "I haven't made enough money for my own boat yet, but I will be soon. If you know any good spots out there, let me know? I'm on the hunt for any buried treasure." He grinned at the very idea of finding pirate's treasure and making his own loot someday.

"Ahh I.. .personally don't want to perform, but since the area has calmed down a bit again... I think I'll be able to do this. And I do hope Elaine doesn't mind tat we've wandered..." Lusye laughs nervously, and leads Prim towards the remaining group-- The mermaid, and... some guy he'd never seen in his life. Huh, for such a small town, he keeps managing to run into people he'd never seen before.

"Hey, Elli!" Prim called as she saw a familiar mermaid and her magic fishbowl. "Are you gonna perform tonight, too?"

Lev hunts for treasures! "Are you a pirate too?" Elli went on and asked. Oh boy she gets distracted easily does she. Her attention was now caught by the people arriving, they looked so familiar. It grew a smile on the Mermaid's face. "Oh oh! Lusye~!!!" she waved at him. "and Prim too" yes, she's happy to see them. Elli holds the oracina in both of her hands. "Yes~ I will perform tonight! It was such a nice surprise too. How about you?"

"Yup, yup! I'm gonna be singing~" she replied. She then noticed the person Elli was talking to. "Yet another new face! Heya, I'm Prim. It's nice to meet ya!" she gave her best smile.

"Ah, you remembered us! I'm honrored." Lusye grins, waving to her. "It's wonderful to see you again, Elli."

Ah, and she's a performer too? Well.. .That was certainly easy. Now there was only one performer left to find, or... maybe a replacement? if that's even a possible solution... "Yeah, Prim and I are going to be performing tonight too. I'm playing the harp." The man removes his backpack from his shoulder and unzips it to show the handheld instrument. As he looks up from the bag, his gaze falls onto the unfamiliar face, and he blushes a bit. How rude of him to have forgotten to introduce himself!

"O-oh, right, it's a pleasure to meet you, by the way. I'm Lusye."

"Soon to be pirate." He corrects and smirks before turning his attention on the new arrivals. "Yo land dwellers." He greeted and gave a casual wave. "Name's Lev, nice to meet you." Wow, everyone here was so .. tiny. He eyed the female and the.... "are you a boy or girl?" He bluntly asked, observing Lusye a second.

Lusye looks to Prim. Wow, that's such a rude question, Prim is clearly a woman! He looks back to Lev to politely scold him, only to realize the man's gaze is on him, and not his friend. Oh.

His blush deepens a bit, and he almost apologizes instead of answering the question. That's what he gets for assuming. "I-I'm a male, sorry, it's a bit hard to tell, I know."

"Ah~!!" the mermaid got hyped after she learned that Prim is going to sing. "Oh wow that's great~! I can't wait to hear your voice. Im pretty sure it's beautiful!" Elli giggled at Lusye, "Of course I do remember you guys, how could I if I don't" She looks back to Lev, "Oh~ that's interesting! Well good luck with that."

Lev was clearly shocked. Once the question had left his mouth, he felt stupid. Of course she was a girl! But then when HE confirmed his gender, he wondered if it was a joke but clearly from Lusye's reaction, it wasn't. He whistled. "W-o-w, I never met such a pretty guy before." He couldn't help but comment. Ah but then he heard Elli's comment and turned his attention to Prim. "Singing? You can sing in this?" He grinned and stepped forward. "Hey, let me join in? I want to participate."

"Sure, sure! I have a magic mic I got from some lil Harvest Sprites the other night. And, no, I'm not crazy. Here it is!" Prim pulled out the microphone from under her cape like magic to show to Lev.

"A-aha, thank you for the compliment! I get asked about my gender a lot... S-sometimes I'm tempted to lie and say I'm a girl, but that'd just be rude..." Lusye lightly smiles, before turning his attention back to Prim too, he wanted to see what her "instrument" looked like, himself.

"I was wondering what they gave you for this performance since the voice... isn't really something you can "give" to somebody..."

Harvest sprites? He had kind of heard of them, he was still new to town after all. He looked at the mic and hummed. "So what does it do? Make your voice sound better or something?" He reached over to tap at it, expecting some type of magic dust to sprinkle out of it. He did snort a bit at Lusye's comment and gave him a side glance. "Well have fun with that, ma'am." He teased and looked back to the mic curiously. "So, when does this performance start anyway?"

"A magic mic?" Elli blinked, then she looked at the ocarina again, Ohhh this thing is also. Pretty much why it sounded fine despite having zero experience with such instrument.  This will be so much fun. "I got this ocarina from the mayor though, since his son can't make it" Elli also wondered, if they will be starting now or- they should wait. "oh yeah good question, when do we start performing"

"Well, I think it's magic, at least. So it could probably make even the worst singer sound good!" she chuckled. "I'm not that bad though..." She paused to think. "Umm, I dunno. Is the mayor still here, should we ask him? Or maybe we have to ask the Harvest King?"

"W-well, we should probably pick a better location than... just here." Lusye ignores Lev's comment, though his cheeks are a burning red at this point. He clearly heard what the other had said. "S-since we're all together though the sooner the better... r-right?" He's not really one to make decisions, but the sooner this is dealt with, the sooner he could pretend this never even happened.

"W-want to move into the center of the town square and perform? M-maybe?"

"The Harvest king?" Elli looked around if there's really a Harvest king because she's very oblivious, then she realized it was Lusye! she couldn't help but giggle to herself for being silly. Her eyes darted at the center of town square, "Seems like a good place, yes?"

"That sounds great!" Prim grinned. "I'll race you all there!" she said as she had already taken off towards the center of the square.

Oh, that suggestion actually went down well.

Lusye smiles to himself as he zips his bag up once again so the instrument he's carrying doesn't get jostled around, before tossing it back over his shoulder and jogging after Prim. Her enthusiasm is almost infectious; the nerves the young man is feeling are a bit subdued right now since the blue haired woman, and the mermaid both seem to be extremely excited about performing. It's a real shame he wasn't able to find the real fourth person, though they were probably sick, or busy. Hopefully the gods would accept three and a random fourth.

Lev was already moving after Prim, he was ready to start this thing! He hoped there would be a big crowd so at least then he could make his grand entrance to the village with his singing skills. It had been a while since he last sung in front of a crowd but he was confident he'd do alright. His long legs helped a lot in keeping up with the small woman too, so no problems with getting lost on the way to the location.

Elli giggles and followed the group towards the center, of course floating with her magical fishbowl. "so do we start here? or we wait for the fourth one?

Lusye's the last to reach the center, stopping to catch his breath. After a good few seconds of him just panting, the man clears his throat and straightens up. "W-well I'm pretty sure the fourth isn't around. I've been keeping an eye out, plus they probably would've approached us anyways... We have the three of us now and..." He looks to Lev and smiles. "This man too, so hopefully the gods will be okay with a replacement. I-I really don't want to wait in case we get separated again... S-so right now would be the best, if that is okay with the rest of you..."

"Kay, ready when everyone else is!" Prim said, gripping the microphone she'd received from the Harvest Sprites.

Lev hummed and nodded. He had heard the basic outlines of the festival so Lusye was the Harvest God right? A strong role for a timid man. "Don't look so nervous," he patted his back a bit too hard, grinning bright, "you gotta direct us, right? Show off your moves, then!" He placed his hands on his hips and glanced around. Not many people were around besides family members and other unknown villagers. He glanced to Prim, seeing she was already to go and moved over to stand next to her. "Any lyrics I need to know about?"

"Mm, nope! I think we can just wing it," she laughed.

Elli nods to Lusye, it seems better, "Alrighty~ since we all love our village, Im pretty sure the gods will be happy with our performance yes?" she giggles. "okay, I will just play this intrument just fine I hope"

"Uwah-- " Lusye flinches and stumbles forward a bit, though he nervously laughs afterwards. "S-sorry, I can't help it."

He removes the harp from his bag and strums it a few times, just to make sure the magic was both real, and still working. Judging by the pure, beautiful melody that his fingers suddenly played, yes it was still working.

"O-oh right, you two didn't get the sprite talk, did you?" He questions, looking from Elli to Lev (well of course lev didn't but well...) "I-I'm not sure how it will work for you, Mr. Lev, but I'm going to assume that as long as you're touching the microphone it'll work... But from what I was told by my sprite, these instruments are magical and when we play-- and sing together we'll immediately know what to do. N-now I don't know if the fourth person has to be here for that to actually WORK b-but, if it doesn't... well w-we can just wing it for sure." He gives them  all a nervous smile, moving into a slightly better position. "A-are you all ready?"(edited)

Elli shook her head, "I never met any of the sprites sadly." she said "Don't worry the performance will probably go well~." she said. "And yes I am ready!"

"Oh really?" He looked to the mic and then reached out to touch part of the mic, waiting for some magic spark to happen. "Well I'm ready then." He hoped this sprite talk would actually come to him since he was only a replacement. Maybe the Gods would be nice today and grant him permission this one time.

"Got it. I'm ready!" Prim starts to hum and tap her foot, getting a sense of rhythm going.

Elli took a deep breath first and started to play the Ocarina in her hands, hoping that it will sound pleasant. But to her surprised the instrument let out a nice music. It is indeed a magical.
Enki - 02/02/2016
Lusye had hoped to give them a countdown before starting, but instead Elli began to play her instrument, w-which is fine, totally fine. In fact, it was prefered since he probably would've tried to keep stalling instead of actually starting the performance.

After listening for a few seconds, the young man closes his eyes and lifts up the harp, beginning to play a melody to compliment the one the mermaid is playing.

Lev watched the two begin to play their instruments and felt a bit of a spark, thankfully. Lyrics were pouring into his head and before he realized it, he was already beginning to sing them out loud into the mic. He did a side glance to Prim, seeing if she also was getting the same vibe.

Following suit, Primilla began to sing. It was as if she suddenly knew exactly what to sing, and it sounded beautiful. She was so relieved!

A slight glow seemed to illuminate the snow around them, spreading out to cover the entire area. Some spirits could be seen shifting in and out of visabilty both on the ocean as well as the forest and mountains behind them. Though even with the spirits there, the overall feeling was one of peace rather than the fear that one would expect from seeing spirits. As their song ended the glow that had covered the land durring seemed to be absorbed by the land as it faded. The spirits too faded away, content with thier performance.

Lusye opens his eyes as he plays and brightens up upon seeing the glow. That probably means it's working, or.. .something. His racing heart begins to calm as the performance goes on, Everything sounds so wonderful, and the spirits had a bit of a relaxing aura to them. Hopefully that meant they were pleased.

As the song ends and the spirits fade, the young man exhales a sigh of relief. The performance went well, at least he thinks it did.

Elli continued to play, it was like the instrument leading her what note is next. She remained calmed throughout. She noticed the the snow around them glowed. It was a breath taking sight,  she saw the spirits shifting around, they felt peaceful. And Elli was glad to see them. As the song ends and everything went back to normal. The mermaid sighs in relief and a smile formed. "Oh that's was so fun~! Everyone did great~"

"Y-yeah that went... amazingly." Lusye smiles over at Elli. "I.. think I need to sit down though."
Looking about, he doesn't immediately notice any benches or anything, so he remains standing for now, though his legs feel a bit weak. He'd been so nervous, and with this weight off his shoulders, he wants nothing more than to just sit and relax for a bit.

"Oh okay!" Elli said, oh dear! Poor Lusye! the performance must've made him tired. She looks around the town square, maybe there could be a vacant bench. She floats close to him. "You want to sit over there?" she asked him, pointing at a bench, near a lamp post.

"Yes, please." Lusye smiles, and looks to Lev and Prim. "Y-you're welcome to come too if you'd like..."

And with that, the man hurries over to the bench that had been pointed out and sinks onto it, sighing with relief. "I'd been so worried, ever since those sprites even showed up.... Y-you have no idea how relieved I am this worked!"

Elli looks at the rest, "Yes yes~ please do come if you like!" she giggles, then she just joins Lusye by the bench. She sets her magic fish ball on the ground. Making it float can be tiring at times, but it's no biggie! The mermaid listened to him and giggled softly. "I haven't met the sprites though. Were they cute?" she smiles, "But yes, it's great that things worked out in the end~"

Lev was amazed that it had worked at all. This really was a magical place! "That was amazing!" He exclaimed and grinned over to the others. "Does this kind of stuff happen a lot? I'm definitely sticking around this place!" He followed after them and plopped down on the bench, stretching.

"Y-yes, the one I saw was adorable!" Lusye grins at Elli before holding out his hands, one atop the other, lifting them to about the hight the sprite he had met was. "She was about this big, and her name was Blueberry. S-she was a pretty sweet little thing, though she was strong for her size-- comparable to a full sized person."

He then returns his attention to Lev and continues to talk. He seems to have gotten a bit more talkative since he doesn't have the burden of performing anymore. "W-well I can't say if this happens a lot, but since Elli is here, and this entire performance happened, I'd assume more things like this will happen for sure. I-it's a little exciting!"

Lev arched a brow at the description. "Whoa really? I didn't see anything." He wish he had, that would be an amazing tale to tell others. "Oh well, I'll see a sprite sometime." Maybe when he was on the seas he'd run into a water sprite? It could become his companion in the end if he were lucky enough. "Well I guess the replacement Harvest King would get to see something like that." He sighed, a bit jealous of Lusye's role.

"R-replacement? Aha, I think it was more like... it was just a role they wanted me to fill in? Sort of like an actor." He smiles. "And I'm sure you'll get to see one eventually. The one I spoke to was telling me about how she wanted to restore the land, and that's certainly going to be an ongoing job for sure. You can't just fix human error like this overnight, you know?"

Elli giggles as she watched Lusye describe the sprite he met, "Oh my~ That's really adorable" she commented. The mermaid rests her arms on the edge of her bowl and wonders about how many magical things can happen in the village.  For now she watched the two converse. "Restoring the land huh?"

"Oh? Then I'll take over the duty for the sea then." Lev crossed his arms. "I noticed there aren't many fish around here.. and the waves are kind of weak." He had been disappointed at that the most but had a feeling something was up with the town that he couldn't just leave so soon. But learning bits and pieces, he could finally understand what was happening. "I'll bring it back to its glory and become the first pirate captain of this part of the seas." He smirked and then glanced to Elli. "You can be my navigator." Getting help from a mermaid would help out a lot.

Elli giggled, "I would love to help you fishing, as long as you respect the sea too" she told Lev. The sea is her home, yeah...it was kinda empty for now. But as season change the sea will become lively. "The sea is also important as land too~"

"Yeah, back when I lived here as a child, the town was full and bustling, at least from what I can remember, but no one really took care of the land and instead just used up all the resources." Lusye leans back on the bench and looks up to the sky as he tries to remember what his home was like when he was still young. "Of course, resourses are finite unless you replace and regrow stuff as you go, and the villagers weren't doing that... And as crops began to fail and the like, people left. I can still remember my class getting smaller and smaller as the years went by, though I never really noticed anything was wrong since I was too young to really care?" He laughs slightly. Ah, the blissful ignorance of youth. "Mom ended up moving too, but I decided to come back since, well this is my home, you know? I was born and raised here. And it's only right to try and correct the wrongs the other villagers had done, right? O-oh sorry, I'm rambling."

Quickly turning the focus back on Lev, the man looks over to him. "Y-you want to be a pirate, huh? Isn't that dangerous? T-though don't get me wrong, I'm not doubting your skills or anything..."

Lev hadn't heard that before but it made a lot of sense. So ignorance and abuse of the land had brought it to this point? No wonder there weren't as many fish in the sea and how quiet the place seemed to be. Even with villagers wandering around it still felt a bit empty. "Ah, yeah I do. It's more fun to think of the adventure than the dangers, you know?" He gave a thumbs up and chuckled. "And don't worry , I'll always respect the sea." He replied to Elli. He loved the sea just as much. "So, I guess I can do patrols around, make sure no one is littering or anything, keep the docks clean at least." He nodded to himself, though the idea sound a bit tiring at the same time.

"I... suppose so. I am not really the adventuring type, at least, not anymore. I used to always want to explore the mines when I was a child, but of course those are dangerous and they wouldn't let me in-- And now that I'm an adult I don't want to go in at all because of the aforementioned danger. I'm a bit envious of your bravery." Lusye chuckles. "Patrols are probably a good idea, t-though just keeping an eye out while you're fishing would probably work equally well."

"Yes good to know!" Elli said, she'd be happy to help Lev with sea duties and make sure nobody litters. Now that Elli thinks about it, when she first saw the village, it was small...and there's a few people but now it has more and more people and festivals to attend to. "But I think the village is doing well don't you think?" she asked, since the spirits appeared to them and they were peaceful. It gotta mean something good!

"Bravery isn't hard to get once you try~" Lev stood up and stretched. "Well I'm going to head to the docks, going to do a bit more fishing and patrol, I guess. I'll see you two beauties later!" He saluted to the two and headed off, whistling a tune to himself down the path.

"I do agree that the village is doing better than before. When I first moved back it was almost empty, but now I'm seeing people all the time, and the shop is actually busy sometimes, which is wonderful!" Lusye grins, before nodding to Lev, a light blush gracing his cheeks. 'Beauties', huh? "Farewell, d-do not stay out too late though, it's cold and dark!"

Elli nods to Lusye, "Mmmhmm~ I hope the land will be back on its really state as before~" she smiles then she looks to Lev who was leaving. She didn't really mind the 'beauties' comment, lol. "Oh okay, bye. And yes it is cold by the sea when its night time."

"I do hope the land will eventually return to the beauty it was before too." Lusye stands up and stretches. "I should take my leave too, since it's gotten so late, and at this point I can not even feel my fingers." He laughs a little awkwardly. "I'm sorry I can't stick around, Elli..."

"oh yes, I should go home as well, this festival has been very fun~" Elli starts to floats up, maybe she should bother the witch to give her legs or something, the fishbowl has becoming to feel clumbersome. "It's alright Lusye~ heehee, it's been a long night yes? We should rest~"

"Y-yes, it has been a very long night, and I'm pretty sure I have work in the morning." The young man laughs. "Good night Elli, I do hope you have a nice rest. Farewell!"

And with that, Lusye turns around and heads on back to the item shop, his harp placed back in his backpack for a safe trip home.
